Tasmania's Highest Formal Dinner Party

The date 20th February 2005. Gil Hays led an assault by four men, four women and their butlers on Cradle Mountain.  Their aim - the summit. Their motive - Tasmania's highest formal dinner party. White knuckle adventure (well not quite!); white glove etiquette: even white anglo-saxon morality. [Gil was undoubtedly inspired by Chris Darwin, (great grandson of Charles Darwin), who led a group of four men, four women and their butler for the world's highest dinner party on Mt. Huascaran 22,604ft, the second highest mountain in the Andes.]

For the record the menu was as follows:

Starters
Prawn Cocktails
Chicken, Salad, Dinner Rolls
Melon Balls in Stones Ginger Wine
Champagne and White Wine

Believe it or not everything was carried from the carpark up to the summit without the aid of a helicopter.
